Jenny Anne Doenges

November 27, 1979 - July 5, 1997
in loving memory

Once in a while, someone comes along and your life changes forever. Not everyone is lucky enough to have such an experience, but those of us who knew Jenny/Mickey Mouse/Nutty Buddy (but NEVER Jennifer!) are better for it and will remember her always. Hopefully, this page will be a benefit to her friends and family and a way to enlighten those who never had the opportunity to meet her.

Hi, my friends call me Jenny. I have my problems, as all of you do. I have more love in my heart, I don't know what to do with all of it.

When you see a beautiful squirrel, remember how I loved to feed them Nacho Cheese Doritos, and how they came to me and ate right out of my hand.

Remember me when you see the birds in the sky and how free we all are.

Do not cry for me, but please laugh a lot. For I am, was, and always will be a comedian at heart. My sister, Bridgette, Mommy and Daddy, and other loved ones should be happy for me. For I no longer feel pain, sorrow, or discomfort of any kind. I am with the Lord and he is making all of my five senses very happy and comfortable. I am in peace.

Do not go to bed angry or upset with each other cuz life is like a vapor. One minute you are here and the next it's gone.

I will live on forever in your memories.

Reach for the stars and let me shine on you. I'm not gone, just shining in the skies. Remember me on the internet and say good things about me cuz I'm listening and seeing all of you.

I love you all - take care of each other and be happy. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Love Always,
Jenny Doenges

Follow Mickey to Jenny's original homepage, which hasn't been changed.

This is the text from Jenny's Alamak Guestbook, which mysteriously disappeared. Luckily, her father managed to retrieve it!

During our e-mail correspondence, Jenny sent me several poems that I thought you might like to read. If you have any others, please send them to me so I can include them, also.

Here are collected writings by Jenny's loved ones. New additions are always welcome!

Bridgette Carina (Rina) Francis (Dutchy)

Sammy (springo) Krista (aLLicia)

I have compiled all the Nutty Buddy "thoughts for the day" I have received in my e-mails from Jenny. I always looked forward to seeing what new one she came up with and almost always commented on them to her. If I accidentally forgot to mention her new thought, she'd always remind me! If you find that I'm missing some, please send them along!

For the duration of Jenny's hospitalization, Krista Walker and I sent out Jenny Updates to all her concerned friends. I have included them all here.

Updates #1-7

Updates #8-14

As mentioned in the updates, there was an outpouring of support for Jenny during her illness. I have saved all the personal messages people wrote for her.

BREATHE

by: Margo Hennebach

Breathe and the rest shall fall in place
Know that this moment too shall pass
Feel that your heart's so wide you fall right in
You have found your home at last

Speak when the words are hard to find
Love like an ocean deep and fast
Trust is a tide that pulls you back again
You have found your home at last

Don't be surprised when you find there are no walls
You've always known that here you see it all
Don't be surprised when you find there are no walls
Open your eyes and you can see it all

Give when you want to hold on tight
Watch for the pride that comes too fast
Now is the only time you've ever had
You have found your home
You are not alone
You have found your home at last
